Border vigilantes turn eyes toward Texas

With the Lone Star flag flying and a pistol and knife on his belt, a Houstonian, who gave his name as Bill Breaux, stood on top of his pickup and stared through binoculars at the mountainous Arizona-Mexico border.

He was looking for migrants trying to sneak into the United States. But on this sunny day, there was not much action.

"I think I saw some little guy's head earlier, but then he ducked into the bushes," said Breaux, 48, a resident of Houston's north side, who declined to say where he works.

Breaux was proudly manning Base 4 of a monthlong volunteer border patrol they call the Minutemen Project.

Bill! You're just supposed to report the illegal aliens---not swallow them whole!

2. What you said.

He'll keel over from a heatstroke soon. No way can he give chase on foot. He could possibly smother someone if he fell on top of them.

edit: This has got to be included in the freeper hall of shame photo collection. Photoshoppers, please do with it as you will! We will eagerly await your efforts.

3. Sheesh! You can tell from his pose that in his own mind he
cuts a heroic figure, standing there in the back of his pickup, guarding the Fatherland, er, Homeland.

4. Anybody notice the obvious contradiction in this story?

"Breaux was proudly manning Base 4..."

but earlier...

"...said Breaux, 48, a resident of Houston's north side, who declined to say where he works."

If he is so proud of what he is doing, why won't he say where he works? Is he worried that he'll get fired for doing this "heroic" work??

6. IF he has a job.........
he shouldn't be hard to identify. Since he's 48 and lives on the north side and assuming he's the 48 yrear old William Breaux who is registered to vote in Houston, then he is listed on the records, including his home address. In fact, if it's him, today his is birthday.

Looks like he's already had MORE than his share of cake and ice cream.

10. This guy is why we Texans always look so stupid.......
...to folks in other regions of the country. He's such a stereotypical image of what people expect to see when they think "Texan".

Old boy ain't gonna be chasin' no Mexicans down with a physique like THAT. He needs to put them pork rinds down and quit doin' the 12 oz. curl.

Jeez Louise.
