1. I'm no artist

so use your imagination:

A silhouette of a boxer, throwing a punch (or perhaps a boxing glove in motion, with stars around it) with his slogan "A Fighting Democrat".

If you can really get creative, then fashion a snarling donkey in boxing gloves in a boxer's pose.

I image-Googled "fighting donkey" and that was one of the hits.

So it might be copyrighted for all that I know...
