Tonight's DeLay protest,

I was just to rundown to go tonight, but I just got a phone call from the gang down there and the report is it's a big success and all our local media is there covering it. There's a good chance you can catch a feed at 10PM tonight on your local NBC, ABC or CBS affiliate or maybe clips in the morning on some of the news shows.

Try to watch for it and report any sightings back here, so when the gang gets back home tonight, they'll have some feedback.

6. I was planning to make it to the protest.

But my parents' anniversary was today and all us kids had dinner with them. I was hoping it would be over with in time to make it. I even made a poster just for Delay. It's kinda lame but that was all I could think of. I will keep it in case there would be another time to protest Delay. Here is what my poster board said:

TOM DELAY
PLEASE BE KIND
YOU MUST
RESIGN!

7. Just covered on local Faux news at 9pm

It was the lead in story!! Our group looked and sounded outstanding. They did a one on one with Johncoby!!

They even interviewed a repuke NRA member who said he thinks DeLay is abusing his power and on Faux yet!! YIPEEEEE!!!! Can you say Humpty Dumpty?

Several DUers were there, including yours truly and WestHoustonDem (I didn't actually catch up with her, but got a ride back to my car from some other active members of the West Houston Democrats, one of whom shares my first name. Terrific people, all.)

In between the more organized chants we'd just wave dollars and yell sing-song, "TOMMMMMMMMYYYYY --- MONNNNEEY." It was fun.

The cops did ask one of our number (ahem, name omitted) not to use a sign with an offensive word on it. But then they exercised the same philosophy in their responses to certain NRA members who greeted us with a certain hand gesture -- the police weren't allowing it from either side.
