Sexy Cheerleaders LTTE (AAS) - Good reading
Our own John Cobarruvias is in this mix. Way to go John!

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
The 'sexy cheerleading' bill; Mother's Day

(DU member letter)
It's all in how you shake it.

Maybe if insurance policyholders would "bump and grind" when reading their insurance bills, the entire House would vote to reduce our rates.

JOHN R. COBARRUVIAS
Houston

(one letter straight from the Lege)
We voted against 'silly' bill

Re: May 5 editorial, "House 'horseplay' is nothing to cheer about":
As freshman members of the Texas House, we couldn't agree more with the editorial, which ridiculed the "sexy cheerleading" bill. However, the caption with the photo of us cheering the end of the debate failed to mention that we both voted against the bill.

Will Rogers once said, "I don't make jokes; I just watch the government and report the facts." The cheerleading bill is a silly bill, and those of us who opposed it treated it accordingly.

STATE REP. RAFAEL ANCHIA
