Will Dems run a candidate in the 14th Congressional Dist. next year? |
|
God, I certainly hope so. Ron Paul ran unopposed last year. I'm convinced that given his recent speeches ripping the Bush Administration and the Patriot Act that the Republican Party will make sure he has opposition in 2006 -- and that lots of Republican money will go toward defeating Paul. This has the potential to cause a Republican schism in the 14th District -- and the Dems would be crazy not to take advantage of this.
We need to contest everywhere. All the pro-Bush Republicans would probably refuse to vote for Paul next year. We need every Democratic seat we can muster next year.

1. Is Paul going to run?? |
|
I know I've read somewhere, maybe even a couple of times, that Ron Paul was not going to run in 2006.

2. I haven't heard that, but it makes sense. That's probably why |

Paul is speaking out so strongly, because he doesn't have to worry about his reelection.
All the more reason for Dems to run a candidate if there won't be an incumbent in the race.
