I've met a few of you and I know you have it in you.

She's probably going to be arrested on Thursday for being a national security threat.

Now, after you get over that chuckle, please think strongly about whether you can get up there before that happens.

It's time to get the numbers there, the warm bodies there. I know it sucks that she came up with this stellar idea just a few days before she did it and because of that, there's no structure in place for this, but such is life.

Please, if you can't get out there, contact the groups you work with. VelmaD, GOPisEvil, you both told me that DUers in Austin get together more than most DUers just because you see each other at so many of the progressive activist meetings. These are the people you need to contact. Please.

You will likely never hear me repeat this. I wish I were in Texas right now. I'm even tempted to come back immediately following the end of my contract instead of two weeks later so I can be there to support this very important cause.

I would give Cindy all of my support, but I have no way to be there and no money.

SO I'll just give a prayer for her and that she will be safe.

2. I'm trying to get the brakes

fixed on my car tomorrow. If I do I plan on driving up bringing water and anything else needed that I can get my hands on. I'm going to try for Wed AM. If anybody in Austin needs a ride I have room for 3. PM me.

6. I'm sorry that I won't be able to make it

I'm working doubles this week, and it's impossible for me to get off work (the day receptionist is on vacation).

I'm going to mail out postcards with the names of the Texas soldiers that have died, if anyone wants to help out.

My husband is out of town and the kids start school day after tomorrow. I'm sending a post card and e-mailing TV stations like mad.
