3. I've never heard of a PO not delivering without a 9-digit zip.
I call bullshit on this as well.

I write at least one letter a week to friends all over America with populations much bigger than Crawford.

6. I remember a time, by cracky...
When the PO would brag about how they could deliver mail no matter how it was addressed.

10. I remember watching sports show where a college football coach
talked about how he called a play that didn't work and which cost them the game. Since it was one of those real gung-ho football colleges, he wasn't all that surprised or upset by all the hate mail he received. But there was one exception: A letter was addressed simply as "that dumb bastard (coach's name)," and the post office knew exactly where to send it!

13. oooh-ooooh, that reminds me....
in an old copy of a ripley's believe it or not, they said that they received a piece of mail that only had ripples drawn on the front of the envelope.

those were the days!

16. my brother in law sent mail to my sister using just her first name
and the zip code and she got it.

He did this because she had told him that a letter addresed to her that way would probably make it, he didn't believe her so he did it.

small town, gotta love it.

(our dad worked in the post office too, which did help a bit)

4. I wonder if that's legal?
But extended zips are easy to find at the PO web site.

To heck with getting angry at their mind games. We can limbo under that pole with ease! :hi:

8. I'm pretty much a hot head
So I understand. It sucks. At this point, I'd like to make them fully realize that nothing will deter us and their stupid mind games make them look like shit on a stick. You take care!

5. And it's a PO box!
It's not like they have to take it out of the Post Office and actually deliver it anywhere.

11. Yeah really. Won't deliver it where?
They can't have more than one Post Office, so they won't take it across the hall to the box without the right zip? horseshit.

12.  this is a typical tactic

remember when Blackwell ( Ohio ) tried to disqualify ballots because of the weight of the paper? They're nitpicking in order to obstruct and frustrate!!!!

so i'll send another note w/ the 9 digit zip on it. no problem. my pen has LOTS of ink! lol!!

14. Report the incident to the postmaster general's office
The post office local branches are supposed to be apolitical, by law i think.

15. That is bullshit dg
I have never had any of my letters returned without a 9 digit zip code. What do they want to do exactly? Just get a bunch of people who already mailed letters and postcards and money have it all be returned. I can't imagine the nightmare that post office is going to have to deal with later.
