Looking For Texas List

I am looking for a concise Texas statistics list.
I heard an author recently, on the Ed Schultz Show, but alas I forgot who he was. He listed where Texas ranked Nationally in such things as high school graduation, health care, murders, etc...it wasn't pretty.
He wrote a book about how Bu$h is "Tex-ifying" the Nation.

Anyone know what I am referring too and where to get a list like this?

2. The Daily show did something similar a few months ago

I don't know where they got their stuff, but here is what they said:

48th ranked SAT scores
#1 in uninsured children
#1 in High School drop out rate
#2 in teen pregnancy (Behind Mississippi)

And my punch line is:

We won the race to the bottom with only 12 years of Republican leadership!
