Determined to go to Washington
for the September 24 rally.

Am interested in the peace train (sounds like a blast) and would like to know if anyone from houston is going......

Looking to find cheap lodgings and share a ride if possible.

i drive - you drive, don't care, as long as I get there!

Plan on flying back from washington (gotta get back to work)

1. I'm considering flying in....
I have to think about it, because I've been spending money like a drunken Bush lately, but I really want to go. I see some good aifares still available. I'll probably just wait and see what last minute fares they have, and make it a 24 hour trip. Check in the other forums to see where people are staying. The Louisiana forum folks should have info on where the Peace Train passengers will be, and I know other DUers have posted about going too.

3. I have been on the road so much lately...
that I don't think I need another long ride on the books. Plus, I am out of vacation days. The cheapest airfare I saw RT from Hosuton was $197 (tax inc). I would hope to find someone to share a room with, so I am figuring $300 plus spending money for Saturday.

5. cheap!
cheapest package i found was through expedia

houston to washington (BWI)9/23
roundtrip
and three nights at a downtown hotel (single occupancy) $398.

with double occ it goes up 50 odd dollars or so a night

downside: flying into baltimore means renting a car to get to the hotel

upside: the hotel is really close to the wh - i could probably walk to the events
