If you're going to Crawford this weekend - here's what they need most
Edited on Wed Aug-24-05 05:48 PM by WestHoustonDem
Just got this note on a local mailing list:

If anyone is headed to Crawford (I will be Friday myself) They need electrolyte supplements such as *Emergency*. Gatorade or sports drinks are good too but some of the elderly can't handle the sugar so it was recommended we take Emergency. It's a packet power you add to water. Whole Foods may carry it.

Edited to add: The correct spelling is Emer'gen-C. Thanks LisaM!

1. Actually it's called Emer'gen-C
I can get it at the drugstore. It comes in small packets. Try also: Pedialyte (I know it's supposedly for kids) and Ensure.

4. It's called Electro-MIX by Alacer
Yes, it's the same company that makes Emergen-C and at 25 cents a packet (mixed with a liter of water) you can't beat it. It has a natural lemon-lime flavor and if it's too tart, you can add the sweetener of your choice.

I work at Whole Foods. I'll pick some up with my discount. I've already gotten 12 cases of water donated that I'm going to bring.
