Local 2 To Hold Food Drive For Hurricane Victims KPRC Partners With Houston Food Bank, H-E-B

HOUSTON -- Local 2 will hold a food drive Friday, along with H-E-B and the Houston Food Bank, to help Hurricane Katrina victims.
The drive will be held from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will collect more than just food, officials said.
"We need paper goods, glasses, plates -- things like that. We also need diapers, baby formula. We need some non-perishable food items, like peanut butter and those things that won't spoil and don't need to be refrigerated," said Joan Smith, with the Houston Food Bank.
Items Needed: Paper goods such as plates, cups, diapers and tissue Cleaning supplies, such as bleach, Top Job, Mr. Clean Bottled water (no glass containers) Single serving snacks such as Pop-Tarts and cereal bars Peanut butter Heat and eat foods such as chili, stew, canned pasta with sauce and canned vegetables Any other single serving foods that don't require refrigeration MREs (Meals Ready To Eat) Baby formula Personal hygiene products
