Veterans for Peace Group Starting in Houston

LETS GET A VETERANS FOR PEACE GROUP GOING IN HOUSTON !
BROTHERS AND SISTERS-MY FELLOW MILITARY VETERANS:

We need to come together and create a presence in the Houston area for the great national Veterans for Peace organization you have been reading so much about in conjunction with the growing anti-Iraq war movement and the amazing Cindy Sheehan stand to hold Bush accountable for his reasons in taking our young people into Iraq to be slaughtered and maimed. Are you as outraged and inspired as myself to speak up with the authority reserved only for those like us who have served our country? Then come to this meeting and let's get it going. Stan Merriman

VETERANS FOR PEACE ORGANIZING MEETING FOR GREATER HOUSTON
Location: 2360 Rice Blvd., in the "Village", Maryknoll House's Olive Branch Room, the garage apt. behind the main house fronting Rice Blvd. It is reached from either Kirby or Greenbriar exits off I 59, going south. Poor signage. It is the White house immediately west of Hungry's, close to Greenbriar, with a strip center abutting its west side. Do not park in their driveway; park on the street, at the Church across the street on in the strip center parking next door. It is just west of Rice U. Time: 7 p.m. Date: Tuesday, September 13

Agenda: Discuss general VFP orientation, organizing objectives, prospective projects and organization structure.

Convenor: Stan Merriman 713-666-8444 stan.merriman@sbcglobal.net

2. Stan, you might want to consider talking to Dick Underhill in Austin,
he is over the Texas area and could probably help you. If you want to contact him pm me, you might also want to consider contacting the Nat'l Hdgtrs, in St. Louis if you have not already.

Peace,
Anarchy1999
