Weather Info (Radar, Alerts, Forecast, Sat, etc) for your cell phone.. |
|
NOAA is offering a "FREE" experimental service for pda/cell users that have internet access on their devices. I was mostly interested in the radar and satellite info since typically that is an additional service fee and frankly.. why pay for a 3rd party service when you can get the info from the pros (NOAA).
Try these: * HTTP enabled wireless devices: mobile.srh.weather.gov
* WAP enabled wireless devices: www.srh.noaa.gov/wml
The first is mostly for PDA's and the latter for your generic cell phone with a browser. I tried them this evening and they work great....
Best of all.. its a free service.

1. That's great information! Thanks for sharing. |

Now I wish my phone had internet capability.
But wait till Rick Santorum hears about free weather information. He'll squash that service like a bug.:grr:
