Perry accuses FEMA of poor planning, discrimination in letter
http://www.statesman.com/metrostate/content/gen/ap/TX_Perry_FEMA.html
Gov. Rick Perry accused the Federal Emergency Management Agency of poor planning, discrimination and inefficiency Tuesday in a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, releasing the litany of alleged shortcomings on the same day Chertoff visited the state.

Perry wrote of his concerns that "local leaders are getting conflicting instructions from FEMA, that tens of thousands of Katrina evacuees will soon be evicted with no place to go, because of poor planning for long-term housing, that we have yet to receive information from FEMA identifying sex offenders and violent criminals among the Katrina evacuees."

The governor also accused FEMA of treating Texas hurricane victims differently from Louisianans affected by Hurricane Rita.

Adios MoFo Perry is actually criticizing FEMA? It must be an election season. Or more importantly Rick got the memo that his poll numbers seriously suck.

Texans are already ready to fire Rick Perry. (SurveyUSA)

(numbers are Approve, Disapprove and Not sure)
That's bad news, for sure, but the crosstabs tell a scary story that is sure to make Rick Perry lose sleep:
Among Hispanic voters, he's 34-61-5.
Among self-identified Independents, he's 32-65-3.
Among ideologically moderate voters, he's 41-55-4.

And this is the one you want to tell your friends. It's gobsmackingly, aftershave-on-a-cut wow. Seriously. Are you ready? OK, keep reading.

Among regular church-going, hurry-up-or-we-won't-get-our-favorite-pew voters, Rick Perry is at 44-53-2.

Sweet!

2. We'll have to see efhmc
Strayhorn isn't polling much better with repukes. If Perry wins the primary it may just mean more repukes won't vote for that race. It could happen.
