another Austin question - please recommend a good, cheap motel! |
|
I am going to Austin on Dec 17th for a Christmas party and don't want to stay on my friend's boyfriend's sofa with another 20 drunk people... whom I don't know. I am driving down Sat morning early and then leaving Sunday night, so I need one night. The party is downtown in one of those 'lofts'. So I would prefer not to stay waaaay out on the Interstate. Like in Round Rock. I don't **really** want to spend more than about $60 including tax, as I am on a severe budget at the mo.
Any ideas?

Rooms fill up fast, but it's a cool place and not too expensive.

I've stayed at the Super 8 across from the Drum several times. It's not great but it is handy for downtown...and it is clean
