Kinky Friedman Campaign Gear: Talking Action Figure
Ya know, ya'll, up until now I was inclined to give Kinky some of the benefit of the doubt for his political aspirations. I thought, "Well, he seems like a nice guy and perhaps he means well by doing this." But I see this and I think, "Wow, this whole campaign is just a publicity stunt, isn't it?"

1. If I'd thought more of his campaign, I'd be disappointed by this.

3. I was just wondering if it was
anatomically correct. Gee, I guess it is.

5. The Kinky doll's in campaign commercials now
I saw a commercial today with "reporters" interviewing the doll. I can see a lot of people scratching their heads going, "Wat the hell...?" Comes across as a parody commercial, not a real campaign. Get ready to become the nation's laughingstock (again).

6. Got to say it

I've held off and bothered a few of you with PM's, over this, but I can't anymore.

Given the bug, "How Hard can it be" on the box, I think I know the real reason behind the campaign. I mean they developed this campaign and the doll to fit the man, so the parallels are appropriate to discuss.

Kinky's books have all been semi-autobiographical (much like Tom Clancy's books) where he is the one solving the crimes, doing right, etc., the juvenile fantasy of saving the world. Anyone notice the right hand and the cigar, both vertical, makes me wondering if he's fantasizing again, and this time again over-compensating his importance like the books. Yes, I know sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, but in this case, I think not. We've had more than enough children play-acting out their egos in Texas politics, time now for someone who doesn't have to hide behind juvenile props and fantasies in order to feel like a man. I want someone who is here for Texas, not some impotent person trying to inflate their obviously over-sized egos.

8. Hip, hip! Thanks you for taking the time to succinctly and potently
make the point about this travesty to our election process.
