Barton hospitalized after falling ill at Capitol |
|
11:38 PM CST on Thursday, December 15, 2005 Associated Press
U.S. Rep. Joe Barton became ill during a meeting at the Capitol on Thursday evening and was admitted to George Washington University Hospital, according to a statement issued by the Texas Republican's office.
Barton was taken to the hospital after being treated by the attending physician, his press secretary, Karen Modlin, said in the written statement.
“He is alert, resting and in stable condition. He is also unhappy to be absent, and we expect his return to work as quickly as his doctors complete their evaluation and release him,” she said.
Modlin said she could not “presume a diagnosis.” http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/dn/latestnews/stories/121605dnmetbarton.13a3562c.html

3. Frist wasn't available? |
|
Certainly his staff could have called the all seeing Frist from the Senate for a quick diagnosis. He could have even done it from a videotape. It's not too late Smokey Joe, Frist is on call 24/7 to save you.

4. Could it be the polluted air he was breathing? |
|
Oh never mind, he doesn't have to breathe the air here. He just has to breathe the hot air in Washington.
