I spy a Democrat? RE: DeLay and the spy ring. Damning!

Perhaps one of the most obvious reasons for the Bush/Cheney NSA spy ring can be found in the extra-legal activities of their favorite Texas son.

In 2003, Tom Delay, the ex-exterminator turned money launderer, began using the Department of Homeland Security as his personal surveillance team. And who was the Ham spying on using our tax dollars and without any oversight whatsoever?

Turns out Hammy was tracking Texas Democrats who had left Texas to break quorum on the yet another questionable piece of legislation.

1. This really isn't new, I have the recordings

of the conversations between the FAA, and David *Blalock (calling on behalf of a congressional office), to track the flight of the Democrats.
David Blalock (agent with government industries, whatever that means) tells the FAA that this is a congressional inquiry.
Blalock has the Washington Operations Ctr. to continue to track the plane. Essentially taking away valuable time from the FAA.

2. This may not be new, but the knowledge of this admin

abusing powers by spying, coupled with DeLay's possible culpability, is. At least to me.
It could prove this was happening domestically w/o permission from the court despite what this
admin is saying to the contrary.

3. It is great news that it is being revived.

The more exposure all this brings to light the better. They have been abusing their powers since they gained total control of our government. They know that they can get away with anything because they figured there would be no over-sight, no accountability, no investigations.

Well, so they thought, but they thought wrong.

Here's another excellent story about some of the cover-ups, like the DPS destroying records of their involvement.

In the early hours of the search, a DPS lieutenant called a federal Homeland Security Department agency that tracks terrorists and smugglers, seeking the whereabouts of Mr. Laney's plane.
Late last week, Homeland Security officials released a partial transcript of that call and said the DPS officer had misled them into believing the plane had crashed.
Democrats have demanded a full transcript of the DPS call, saying that would illuminate whether federal authorities were misused or acted in good faith.

Thursday morning, Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge, testifying before the House Homeland Security Committee, again declined to release that transcript, citing an internal investigation by the department's inspector general.

"This is now potentially a criminal investigation. The tapes are part of the evidentiary chain. We are involved in a criminal investigation involving information and pieces of evidence that are not necessarily available for public review right now," he said.

I haven't heard anything about one, wonder where they are in the investigation?
