Dallas: NPR Noon Talk Show...

... I tuned in to the midday talk show on KERA today, my radio was tuned there as I had listened to some of the hearings.

My basic fears were disturbingly confirmed. Well over half the callers were wingnut idiots with ideas as palpably stupid as "to the winners go the spoils (refering to Alito's appointment) and folks yammering about how "intelligent" the potential confirmee is.

I stopped sending money to KERA in 2003 when they had taken a decidedly right turn and were cheerleading for the war on a regular basis. Finally, just yesderday, I got a pink reminder, the FINAL CHANCE to renew my membership.

No thanks. If wingnuts are listening it only confirms what I already knew. NPR is little better than FOX and CNN at this point.
