Kinky Friedman on '60 Minutes' on Sunday, |
|
per Imus. Apparently name recognition goes a long way. Is he really polling up to 20% already?

1. It's a repeat. And no, he's not. |
|
He's hit the high water mark (IMHO) according to the latest Zogby:
Perry (R) - 38.3% Strayhorn (I) - 20.5% Bell (D) - 17.9% Friedman (I) - 14.4%
Keep in mind: Kinky would be bad, bad, BAD for Texas. Real Democrats vote Democratic.

2. Not to worry, PDittie. I have NO intention of voting for |
|
him. We need a serious Dem in there, though Perry's numbers are discouraging. The way Imus hawked this, it sounded like a new segment. Whatever, we'll be watching football!

3. It's not you I'm worried about, pumpkin. |

It's all them other people. You know the ones.
Let's call them the Not-Quite-So-Stupid-Anymores.
The ones who've been voting Puke for a decade, and now they just can't any longer, because they think high gas prices are a conspiracy, or because they finally realize that all of our constitutional freedoms are about to be demolished in similar fashion to the Twin Towers on 9/11. They don't really want to vote for a Democrat after all this time, but they know Rick Perry's an incompetent ass, and they think Kinky is cool, even though they've never heard his music or read his books.
Hell, they're probably not even reading this. And won't, ever. But they're out there forming their shallow opinions right this very minute.
And we've got to help them if we can. Or at least stop them from destroying the rest of us.
