Free Fish Fry in Fort Bend

Fort Bend Democrats is sponsoring a free fish fry and grand opening of our new headquarters on Sunday, July 18th at 3:00.

We'll have live music, Kerry/Edwards buttons, and support for all our Democratic candidates, from the courthouse to the White House.

We've rented an empty car dealership until November, so we have lots of windows, a huge paved parking lot, an acre of land behind the building for picnics, and several storage buildings. Take a video tour right here - http://www.fortbenddemocrats.org/news.htm

We also have a big screen tv, a wifi hot spot, four computers for internet use, a constant coffee pot, and free snacks every day (except Sunday) from 9:00 am - 8:00 pm

Doing my shift at the headquarters is so rewarding. Yesterday, three people walked in off the street to ask what they could do to help. And one of them even wrote us a $100 check!

By the way, we have the coolest yardsigns and DemStuff. We'll be uploading it next week for sale at a VERY reasonable price.

2. Bay Area New Democrats will be there!

We are on the opposite side of the district from Fort Bend and intend to come also. Fort Bend folks supported our parade for July 4th in our area. We will also be there for their parade in Sept.

there was such a list of upcoming events in the Greater Houston area read off, that it made my head spin! The Democrats down her in the Gulf Coast are fired up, and rarin' to go!:-)

6. We'll be on vacation BUT...........

We'll be driving through SEVEN states heading north to Michigan, with anti-Dubya bumperstickers right next to our Texas plates.

Don't want anyone seeing my Texas plates and think I might be a Bush supporter. I want them to know, we know more about the idiot than they do. They should have listened to us last time!!!

9. 'BOUT TIME FORT BEND!!!

Told my GO'B TX Reep neighbor about the fish-fry and that I plan on attending. He said "y'all must be servin' sucker-feeeush.

I laughed like hell. He's been coming around to reality (SLOOOOOOOOOOOOWLY) butnow I KNOW there's hope for him--REAL cReeps have NO sense of humour!

10. Update!

Texas Democratic Party Chairman Charles Soechting has confirmed that he'll be at the Fish Fry. He promises not to eat all the fish, but if I were you I'd get there early just in case. The Chairman has a hardy appetite.
