Webb County Judge run-off postponed |
|
The loser in race, incumbent Louis Bruni, has filed a lawsuit to postpone the run-off in the race for Webb County Judge because of the problems with the electronic voting machines. He is requesting that the results from the primary be scrapped & a new election held between him & the other candidates or just him & one other candidate. (that takes some guts, since he came in dead last in a field of 4).
What I'm wondering is this: does this shorten the time that 4n3p & Kinky have to get signatures to be put on the ballot? They can't start until the run-off is over & if this race is held-over, wouldn't that impact their time line?

1. Great news about the lawsuit DG |
|
Yesterday the Texas Supreme Court Justice Candidate Steve Smith's (republican) filed a lawsuit here in Travis, challenging the primary election results and voting equipment by Hart and ES&S.
The Houston voting rights activists (Democrats) are filing soon too. Wish they had filed first. Either way, the more we pile on them the better.
And the answer to the signature question is no. That rule is only for the same race. The Governor's race did not go into a runoff in either primary, so Kinky and c4n3p were free to collect signatures right after the primary decision.

:(
I was hoping that that idiot would finally do something right, intentionally or unintentionally.
Here's a laugh for ya: He's said that he knows there was election fraud because he has a list of 8000 people he had bussed to the polls, yet he only got 5000 votes!
