Have you voted in the run off yet? Only 10 people |
|
have voted in my Democratic precinct runoff, as of 4:45pm. 20 Republicans have showed up. The Republican poll guy was sitting outside and asked if I was vote Dem or Rep. If I had said Republican he would have had to go inside.

Second Democrat to vote.
We have a hotly contested house district race. Both sides have been busting our butts over maybe 1,500 votes. I need to find a new hobby.

3. I voted last Tuesday and did a little rant |
|
the woman at early voting offered me the "option" of voting in either the Democratic or Repuke run-off. I had already handed her my voter registration card, which was stamped "Democrat". She said there was no record of my voting in the primary, so I STILL had the "option". I said, I did vote and can't you see my card is stamped? She insisted the record does not show I voted.
So, knowing the workforce was solid Repuke, I said, "I most certainly DID vote AND is was DEMOCATIC as it has been my whole life. Further, I attended the caucus, was a delegate to the Senate District convention and I AM a delegate to the Democratic State Convention and my husband is the precinct committee man in the precinct you're telling me I didn't vote in."
Of course, she only knew what the computer showed, but I wasn't in a good mood anyway. After the run-off, I'm going to run a check through the Tax Assessor's office and see what the problem is.
BTW, if you all aren't aware of the screw-up going in Maverick County today, check Burnt Orange.
