I'm trying to locate Drinking Liberally for Houston

I found their website but it comes up blank. I did have a bar and a date and time but went there and waited but nobody ever showed up.

Does anyone have any info?

OR, does anyone know of any other progressive groups in the Houston area I could get together with.

4. PDittie, WestHoustonDem, and I went to DL quite some time ago....

then I think they were looking for a new organizer or something, and then I didn't hear anything else. If it turns out to be an active group again, I am all for checking it out. Regardless, we have quite a few Houston area DUers who do our own thang now and then.

to the Texas forum (even with your 400+ posts; we never stop welcoming people to DU until the hit a thousand :crazy:).

I'll start thinking about a little H-Town get together. Maybe close to -- or during the -- convention in August. A watch party or something like that.

Probably as centrally located as we can manage, just off one of the main arteries so all the out-Westers can get in and out. We had a good debate watch party at the Berryhill's on Montrose in March, right before the Texas primary. How does that sound for a suitable location?

10. Two things

1. Just got this from Drinking Liberally:

We will get together next week for for a after 4th of July DL at Pearl Bar.

It's usually the first Wednesday of the month but since this is Independence Day week, I'm guessing it will be a week from today, and I'll post the details here when I get them. Pearl Bar is over on Washington, between Sheperd and Heights Blvd.

2. The Stonewall Dems just sent me an invite to their Convention Watch Party on Thursday, 8/28 (location TBD) so what does everyone think about having a DU gathering as part of that event?

Bad and Good News to Follow

The Bad
Due to some unforeseen circumstances we will postpone (today's) gathering for DL. I am so sorry for this.

We will meet the 16th of July at 7pm onward at Pearl Bar off Washington. A reminder will be sent later next week.
