Campaign Finance Deadline June 30th - Donate to your favorite local candidate TODAY!

Hi all, haven't checked in here lately but I just wanted to drop in and remind everyone about the campaign finance deadline TODAY. This month's deadline is especially important to your local State Representative and Senate races. Why? Because after this reporting period, dozens of local PACs and high-dollar donors will be looking at the campaign finance reports to see who's a "top tier" candidate and who is *not.* The "top tier" candidates, the "serious" candidates, will get the big funding and the volunteers. The ones who are "on the edge" -- well, not so much.

I know this because, well, I'm a campaign manager for a local race and we've been working like crazy the last two weeks to try and get a good sum in the bank for this reporting period. We're one of those "middle tier" races and we've been trying like heck to jump into the top tier.

Anyway, it's not quite as exciting as the Presidential race, but your local races are IMPORTANT -- here in Texas, we're only five (FIVE!) seats away from taking back the Texas House(!!) So find your favorite local candidate, and contribute-- TODAY!

This is a good way to put some money into the House races that are close.
