Tarrant County Texas DU folks....should we try to meet up with
one another sometime? Maybe right after holiday rush is over?

Think on it and see how you feel.

2. Ok when and where... I am thinking after holidays might be
easier for everyone else...I am more or less on my own so I can be fairly flexible.

I am on south Side of FW, so places like the Borders near Hulen Mall,
or a restaurant/cafe that is central would be good.

Think about it.

Hope you love the Tuna play as much as we did!!

I'm new to these threads, but I'd love to meet up with folks in my area. I reside in Arlington, but I wouldn't mind driving over to funky town to meet up with y'all.

8. I know I'm going to love it;
I've seen parts of it on TV before...and I KNOW it's going to be a hundred times better live at Bass Hall!

You should go; The dates are 12-21 through 12-26, 12-24 & 12-25 excluded, with two shows on the 26th. I think there's probably a lot of seats still available; I didn't have any problem getting tickets, and I just got them like, Monday or Tuesday. I think I got really good seats (my husband had a cow when he found out how much; but he would easily spend as much on something HE chose to do)! I wanted box seats, but none were available, so I got orchestra seating. The guy acted like they were really good; but of course, he's not going to say, "these seats are expensive, but they kind of suck"...

We're going to Amarillo right after, and staying until New Year's Day (I think), so it will be a few days before I can post again!

 I'm going to have withdrawals...one sister-in-law doesn't have internet access right now, and the other is a fundie computer Nazi that spys on everything you do on her computer!

11. hi and welcome to DU
thinking maybe a nice Sunday afternoon meet up at a coffee place or restaurant that is centrally located would be nice.

INPUT? what part of city?

I am in SW Ft Worth, west of I20/I35 interchange
Frogtutor is south of me
you are in Arlington

I know lots of nice places and I am finished with church around 12:15 or so.

We will keep in touch.

14. anywhere is fine with me...
As long as I am provided with a street address I don't care where it is. I'd actually like it to be somewhere I'm not familiar with, because I hardly ever go to Ft. Worth, and when I do go it's always to the same places. This would be an opportunity to go somewhere new. I'd prefer a restaurant, because I'm not a big coffee drinker, but that's just my vote.

16. OK, since I started this idea, let me think about it. There are some
really neat places in Fort Worth to eat and meet, and downtown in Sundance Square is always fun, and so is the museum area.

I have a membership at the Kimball, too. hmmmmmmm let me think about this some more.

have a great Holiday

12. what day are you going?
I am seriously thinking about it. It would be a wonderful cheer up.
Wish my husband was going to be home, we would love to do that together.

Have a good time in Amarillo (maybe you can get up in the night and sneak on to the computer when nosy SIL is asleep)

13. We're going on the 26th, the 2:00 matinee
Oh, and when I said "Nazi", I wasn't kidding. They have software that can spy on ANYTHING you do, even read your e-mail! Youngest SIL (she's 25) checked her e-mail over there once, and they had the AUDACITY to not only read it, but to comment to her about its inappropriateness! Can you imagine?! I don't know how she kept from going ballistic...

15. Man that is disgusting. I would never presume to spy on my house guest's
email activities. How low can you go?

But then of course I am a Democrat, enough said.
