Any Democratic Club members here?
I would like to talk with other club members about an idea for this coming Texas Legislation session.

I am the VP of Bay Area New Democrats in Clear Lake, south of Houston. (delays district)

Anyone else?

1. We used to have a Democratic Club in...
Orlando. I was a member from the time I was in college until about 1985. I'm glad that there are a few still out there. I'm interested in your opinion of Delay. I know he is a jerk, but did the Democrats field someone against him? I mean we've got Tom Feeney who is Delay with a bad haircut (looks like a permanent rat's nest) and we even field someone against him.

2. merci me and West Houston Dem are in the WHD club, john...
...they'll probably weigh in here later today.

We're not members of a club, but we'll probably join either the Meyerland or the West U Dems next month.

15. PDittie
Braeswood Dems meet bi-monthly on a Sunday evening.

Also, the WHDC has a potluck most 4th Fridays, at different homes, if you aren't into the Saturday morning thing. Just lots of food and talk, no meeting!!!

9. WHDC meeting Jan 8
Edited on Tue Dec-21-04 11:33 AM by merci_me
just a few days prior to the new lege session.

As WestHoustonDem said, Congressman Chris Bell will be our speaker and you all are invited. Feel free to bring Bell for Governor signs or any other signs of encouragement and thank you for his filing of ethics violation charges against Tom Delay.

This month only, we are meeting on the 2nd Saturday, as our meeting location will be closed on our normal 3rd Saturday date, due to Martin Luther King Day weekend.

We will be meeting Saturday, Jan 8 at the Traci Gee Center at 10am. Sign-in begins at 9:30am.

Website and directions for WHDC.

12. 2 in Houston
I volunteered a little with the Texas ROADwomen and with the Montrose Area Democrats. The ROADwomen are the more active of the two -- they have a strong network of volunteers and a lot of experience. Have a couple of contacts in each group but am not a memeber of either.

Also, I work with someone who is more direclty involved with HCDP; kind of a Dem insider, you might say.

So what's the scoop?
