Here is another link to a thread from another DU'er with pics of the billboards. As far as I know I've only seen their television ad on CNN. As Maestro points out in below thread local area stations refused it.

The Dismantling Racism Team of the Dallas Peace Center calls your attention to these highly offensive, racist and inflammatory billboards and asks for your support in contacting them to this effect.

2. Here is response received from KLIF by a friend.

You may have made a difference. The approval % dropped from 91% to 87% in the matter of a couple of
hours that this was sent. Below is the Gen. Mgr's. reply and mine to his (I could not resist). I don't
normally do this sort of thing, although it seems we may have made a small difference, otherwise, why would
he have bothered to reply so quickly? Thanks, and keep it up.

4. I saw that Bin Laden billboard this weekend...

on I-30 right as I was heading into downtown Dallas. I was stunned but unfortunately not surprised. KLIF is dreck and evil dreck at that. I will definitely be sending them a nastygram though it won't do a bit of good. *sigh*

I am writing to you to urge KLIF to remove these billboards. This is racist and insensitive. When can we as Americans be tolerant of other religions and races? This type of billboard only helps perpetuate the "Ugly American"
syndrome.

Please re-think this policy, we should really be spreading the message of peace, not intolerance or hate.
