1. Sorry KT,
I don't know about Seattle. I'm in Portland, and we have Air America on AM 620. My radio dial is permanently FUSED to that spot.

You could always go to their web site. They'll have more information there. I think they said they're expanding their coverage to Los Angeles (?)

Anyway, try http://www.airamericaradio.com/

If all else fails, you can get it on the Internet (streaming). Lots of people do that. The only problem is, you're stuck by your computer.

3. I can't believe they're not on the air in Seattle
Talk about your target audience. I keep hoping that one day we won't have to rely on webcasts...

4. They must be
one of the guys at work told me he listened to the convention on Air America. Although he may have Sirius - I know we've talked about satellite radio, because I have XM.

6. The entire Seattle radio market is controlled by three corporations
Infinity, Entercom, and Fisher. No Clear Channel (thank God) unless that changed recently, but still it doesn't leave many opportunities for a new format. I think it would be hilarious if KVI converted to Air America. The Freeps' heads would explode

8. KZOK is definitely Infinity. KIRO is Entercom. Not sure about the other...
...sports stations. As far as I know, Fisher still owns KOMO TV & AM, Star 101.5 and (KK)KVI.

11. Entercom would be the most likely to carry it...
This would be something to push to these stations and try to change.

10. Clear Channel has an office in Fisher plaza I thought?
And they have a seperate office on Denny I think. I'm not a native and I don't drive so I could be mistaken. They certainly have every single billboard in the city locked up though. That big ugly CLEAR CHANNEL logo under every big ugly advert.

13. Yeah, Barry Ackerly sold them the billboards
Then he sold the Sonics to Starfucks. Neither has been the same since :(
