Bush now coming next week; Kerry tour won't be
Edited on Wed Aug-04-04 07:10 PM by Yo_Mama_Been_Loggin
I guess * doesn't have the balls to go anywhere he's not welcome?

While I wish Kerry was coming to our state I can see why he's going to Oregon instead of here. He leads * by eight points in Washington. The race in Oregon is closer.

President Bush is scheduled to campaign in the Puget Sound area next week, but Democratic challenger John Kerry has changed his plans and will end a coast-to-coast tour in Oregon, not Washington.
The two came close to crossing paths here on Friday the 13th. But yesterday, as Bush's visit was announced to local Republicans, the Kerry campaign was telling state party officials that the "Believe in America Tour" wouldn't make it this far north.

-snip-

Bush is scheduled to visit the area for a $2,500-per-person fund-raiser Aug. 13, Bob Strauss, president of the Eastside Republican Club, announced at a club function last night.

The price rises to $10,000 for a photo opportunity with the president and $25,000 for a private reception and a photo, Strauss told the party faithful.

Kerry IS coming here, on August 13. That's what I was told two days ago by Paul Berendt.

9. Love ya Kerry.. but you can't come 2 hours north?
I would think that the campaign would see the headlines (which were actually out there), Bush comes to Washington, Kerry Avoids Washington. He doesn't have this state locked up... A trip to Tacoma, would really show that Kerry's campaign "gets it", that they aren't only hitting the most white, affluent parts of the state. I always thought they should do something in Tacoma, at Cheney Stadium... just for fun. Why do we have to have skanky Bush, yet again, and NO Kerry????

10. Kerry will be here August 27
but it'll be a private fundraiser. He *might* make a brief appearance at the Magnuson Awards. There've been rumors of that.
