Canvassing for Feingold

I spent my afternoon canvassing for the Feingold Campaign......I took a ward that is notoriously Republican so predictably, I got a pretty good shot of negative feedback. I was happily surprised however by some of the positive comments Feingold got. I don't think there's any hope for carrying the ward I canvassed, but at least the Dems showed their face in their "house".

Feel pretty good about actually doing something other than bitching on DU....

I like how you said that you felt good about doing something other than sitting here on DU bitching. I have been thinking of what I could do besides that, too. I am going to volunteer at our Democratic local office this week and see how I can get involved.

You're a brave man to take a "red" ward. I would have chickened out and asked for something easier. I let people's attitudes bring me down too much so a red ward would have been a real drag for me.

At least you had nice weather and can take comfort in being able to label the dens of opposition in the city for the Feingold campaign.

How did the fly-in breakfast go? Did you take Matt?
