Saw a new Russ Darrow ad that said he's conservative, like WISCONSIN! |
|
God Allmighty, let's reclaim OUR PROGRESSIVE tradition from these fuckers in November! :bounce:

'I'm Russ Darrow and I approve this message.' Please.
Maybe he hasn't been made aware of our corrupt, siphoning state government. Of course we're convservatives. We have to save up to pay our F*ING PROPERTY TAXES!

2. The thing is bush isn't conservative. |
|
What is our National Debt? And bush throws away lives, too.
How are the bushits conserving our Environment?
But you're right..Progressive should be the desirable buzzword.
This Orwellian nightmare is getting old.

Early polls heavily favored him. I haven't heard any recent polling, though. In my book, he is much stronger this time around than the last when he barely won. I really don't think he has anything to worry about, but he's running a serious campaign. When it comes to pukes, you don't want to underestimate the effects of negative campaigning - which I think was his biggest mistake 6 years ago.

6. The campaign doesn't seem to be taking any chances |

I'm a volunteer and there is a well organized canvas/phone bank/leaflet campaign going on here in the Fox Valley despite the fact that we don't have an opponent to target yet.

in Central part of the state.
Lot of Repubs here in Marshfield but Feingold is making a dent in the hardcore support.
btw: Two Russ Darrow signs (big ones! 4' x 8') sprouted on Peach Ave just this weekend.

... like we're seeing in the Grothman/Panzer race. The depth of the GOP campaigning is "I'm more Conservative" and "I'm more pro-life" than the other guy. Pretty sad for what passes for intelligent discussion these days.

I walked in a really big parade in the town of Eden a couple of weeks ago as part of LuAnn Bird's campaign (only Democrat in this parade... TONS of Republicans). Grothman actually makes Panzer look completely middle of the road because he's so right-wing looney.
He came up to LuAnn and couldn't remember what affiliation she was even though she spent most of the year lobbying him against Concealed Carry, etc. for the League of Women's Voters. What a jerkoff.
Yeah this parade was like the Twilight Zone. There were loads of Republicans in the parade (including Tim Michels). Signs that blew my mind like Firefighters for Bush, and Farmers for Bush. I love those because you know they're the first ones he fucks over when he helps his corporate buddies out with tax breaks or overtime pay elimination.
In between all these Republican floats were Jesus or Christian floats. I means hordes of them. I didn't really think that anybody there would really forget who Jesus was, but I guess you need to beat that into the heads of small townspeople or otherwise they might open their mind up just enough to see what liberals see (not just talking about religion here, but the non-stop onslaught of Republican propaganda as well).
Anyways that's just another observation from the campaign trail.
