OK...those of you in districts without contested primaries may not have a huge reason to (you could always vote in the Republican primary and pick which wingnut The Left Russ will crush)...but it's a good idea to go anyway, when the lines are shorter and the stakes lower, to make sure your registration is up-to-date and on file. If you're not registered, today's a better day to do so than Nov. 2, because, again, shorter lines. And, if something goes wrong, you'll have time to fix it before the general election.
I'm in the 5th CD so I'll be casting my ballot for Bryan Kennedy and, even though he's unopposed, Russ Feingold.

1. I'm voting, probably in the next hour or so. |
|
There are only about 150 registered voters in my township (because we're heavily Amish) so there rarely is a line. The poll workers all know me which means registration consists of making sure they spell my name and address correctly when they enter me into the poll list.

Even if there's just a single, uncontested race on your ballot - VOTE ANYWAY! It's a right to be celebrated!
Thanks for posting this, Eyes. Good luck to Bryan! We may drop into his party tonight...

and, as usual, it felt GREAT!
Don't forget, Feingold has asked that we not play games with trying to select his opponent, VOTE FOR FEINGOLD so his numbers will look great this evening.
Also, while I was in there, I signed up to work at the polls on November 2 and let them know that I want to get sworn in to register voters, as well (Town of Middleton). When I called them back in May to do this, they didn't even have a procedure in place, but now they do! :D
So I'm kickin' this thread as a reminder to get in there and make your voice heard! :bounce:
And if you're anywhere within driving distance of Madison, be sure to come to the Kerry Rally tomorrow at the Alliant Center. Another thread is already running with the details. :D

Light turnout in my very Republican ward. That's a good sign. In the Dem primary earlier this year, my parents said there were over 500 voters by 5:00PM. Today, I was the 230th.

9. I voted as well. Pretty light turnout... |
|
Voted for Feingold, Jef Hall, and Gordon Hintz. They are all unopposed in the primaries but Gordon needed the votes to receive grant money from the State so there was at least something to vote for.

10. I will be voting for Feingold in November... |
|
Sorry guys, but I voted for Michels...I don't see much of a difference between him and Darrow, and honestly, I don't want that bastard Bob Welch anywhere NEAR the General Election.
But...Kerry/Feingold/Kind will have my vote on November 2.
