Can someone please post directions? It's been a while - is this near the Coliseum?

2. Thanks. I guess parking will be easier, eh? |
|
I didn't know the coliseum got a new name. Sigh - sign of the times - even Madison has gone corporate!
LOL on the LEFT, LEFT!

3. I just got back from a walk downtown and everywhere there are |
|
posters saying the rally is at the Capitol and gates open at 11 am, I think a lot of people especially University kids are going to show up and be disappointed. I hope we can get the message out about the change of location.

I don't know how to do it, but surely someone here is savvy enough to do it!

5. When I got home this morning, |
|
I had five emails in my inbox, informing me of the change in location (all sent from different directions/lists).
I ran in to the AFSCME office, assuming that there would be a phone bank, and, lo and behold, there was! So a spent a couple of hours calling people and letting them know about the change in location. I hit mostly answering machines, but of the real people I reached, most of them had heard about the location change. A couple said that they had heard it on the local news.
Frankly, I'm glad that it moved. Of course, if it's a beautiful day, it won't have paid off, but if it's raining, particularly with thunder/lightening, there are a lot of people who wouldn't have shown up. Also, there's a helluva lot more parking at the Alliant Center (which, by the way, is not the Coliseum itself, it's the building NEXT to the Col).
So, be there or be square! :D
