Where the hell is spring?

because isn't it officially "summer" now? The swimming pool is open here in Waukesha but it's too damned cold to even consider. This same date 4 years ago my dad died and I wanted lilacs in his flowers. It was too late in the season. Today less than half the lilacs in our yard have bloomed. Anybody hear predictions about what sort of summer they're calling for?

I planted the garden yesterday...(note to squirrels:no, I DID NOT PLANT CORN...Nothing to see here...move along)so I'm gambling that we won't have any more scattered frost....fingers are crossed....
