Senate candidate Michels berates ‘communistic polls’

The Associated Press

WASHINGTON — Wisconsin Senate GOP candidate Tim Michels complained Friday about “communistic” polls that he says are skewing results toward his opponent, Democratic Sen. Russ Feingold.

Michels specifically cited a recent Chicago Tribune/WGN poll that reported Feingold with a lead of 57 percent to 33 percent among Wisconsin voters, with 10 percent undecided. Those results were published in a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel story Friday.

“What are they polling — just Madison?” Michels said during an appearance on Milwaukee radio station WTMJ’s “Midday with Charlie Sykes.”

“I call them communistic polls that are coming out,” Michels continued. “They’re reporting those, but where was the reporting of the ABC poll that had this thing at 6 points, which is really just about at the margin of error?

“So the liberal media’s getting into this game, and I would assume that’s going to continue. But everybody knew that was going to happen.”

What an putz.

Great site I just found, by the way. Have a look!

3. I'm thinkin' maybe
I don't think things are quite as iffy as they appear. Anyway, I'll be out there fightin' anyway.

Feingold even has some Repub support in the phone polling I've been doing. I do get the occasional Bush/Feingold answer to "Who do you support?"

So yeah, maybe Feingold can bring Kerry along.

6. Yup! I saw the same thing!
There were a bunch of Bush/Feingolds, and NO, (ZERO) Kerry/Michels.

People here love Feingold. So do I. I wonder if a Feingold/Hillary ticket could ever run--first Jewish pres/VP and first woman pres/VP (depending on the order).

I figure if Feingold has the mettle to be the ONLY Senator to vote against the patriot act, he deserves every good thing that can happen to him!!

4. When President Kerry is sworn in he had better have a ...
the Junior Senator and the new freshmen congresswoman for Wisconsin on the stage with him. I think Ms. Moore's campaign will have the coattails that will be the deciding factor in Wisconsin. Bush's chances slipped a long way when Milwaukee county's pin-head-in-chief blinked and agreed to provide enough ballots to the city of Milwaukee.

9. Tim is delusional
Feingold is polling so high because people don't like Michels. He's nothing but a shallow Bushbot with terrible negative advertising. Feingold is all substance. Michels is a lightweight.

10. What did the Rethuglican voters see in this asshat anyways?
Didn't they know that their chances would have been much better with Darrow or Welch running against Feingold?

Then again, nobody ever said that Republicans were ever smart...

11. Yeah, I thought Welch had the best chance against Feingold
as a seasoned politician. But I guess he was out because the pukes didn't like his performance against Kohl. Darrow might have been more of a candidate than Michels, but if I was Feingold, I'd be running ads the whole time about the money Darrow had contributed to his campaigns over the years. From the beginning, I didn't see that their candidates had a chance. They all had serious flaws that the Feingold campaign could exploit.

Turns out Michels is doing a better job selling his fundie nutjob mentality than Feingold could have.
