Recommend reprimand for pharmacist
Recommend reprimand for pharmacist

A pharmacist who refused to help a woman get her birth control prescription filled in 2002 was recommended for reprimand by an administrative law judge. The judge also suggested Noesen attend ethics training.

Administrative Law Judge Colleen Baird said Neil Noesen, a former Barron resident, violated the code of ethics by refusing to transfer the prescription.
The judge's recommendation will go to the Pharmacy Examining Board, which will make its ruling in April. They can implement, modify or reject Baird's recommendation.

Noesen in July of 2002 refused to fill the prescription, to transfer the prescription and to give the original prescription back to the UW-Stout student.

1. Pull the bastard's license...
If he wants to be kook and not fill her prescription, that's fine...whatever.

But to confiscate it?

Time to explore the wonderful opportunities of the fast food industry, pal...

2. If I fail to do my job for an employer, I'm fired.
Are pharmacists normally considered independent "professional" contractors like doctors?

4. Another of These Fundies
Edited on Wed Mar-09-05 07:19 PM by Anakin Skywalker
also broke his professionalism in TX a while ago (last year, I think. I forgot the town's name). Bunch of morons with too much time on their hands (many fundies seem not to hold jobs, or else they inject their PERSONAL beliefs into them) drove to his town to demonstrate support for his complete lack of professional ethic. Be careful of hidden fundies in the medical profession. They might do things to you without your permission. And in the case where you actually WANT them to help with something, they won't! Hah! IRONY.

5. This Story Needs More EXPOSURE!
Could you please re-post this in the Latest News or another appropriate forum that has a wider readership? I think the people need to be made aware of the danger of people who jam their personal politics into professions where they more or less serve the public.
