What are you going to do with temperatures in the 60's today? :)

1. Sit
in my classroom and teach English :nopity: I guess I'm working for the weekend--for all you 80s big-hair, Canadian rock band fans.

Because it's really, really pretty outside! :)

7. I am in
a cave. No views of the outdoors. Often times it is a shock what it is like at the end of the day.

8. I don't understand why schools can't be more environmentally friendly.
A classrooom without a window reinforces the notion of education as a prison, rather than something which frees the mind. And contrary to popular belief, a windowless room does not enable people to focus better. For someone like me, if I can see a glimpse of the trees or the sky (even peripherally), I'm fine. But if I can't see outside at all, my spirit gets uneasy after a few hours.

10. I like my room
but it was looking out the building at one time, but then they built a new wing and now my window looks out on a hallway.

2. Going for a bike ride...
a long one I think....as long as my legs hold out anyway....

If I get really ambitious, I may go to Fleet & Farm and pick up some crack sealer for the driveway....actually I need to reseal the whole thing but they're talking about rain Sunday thru Tuesday so I'll have to hold off.

Just went into the bakc yard a few minutes ago and smacked some wiffle balls around with the golf clubs.....I do it too fast though....in rapid succession and just keep smackin' em until I'm almost out of breath.....not good practice but pretty good exercise.

What are you doing?

5. Procrastinating.
I need to call my accountant and file an extension, since I'm nowhere near ready to do my taxes yet.

And this afternoon, the critters are going to meet their new vet. They don't know that yet, but they have their suspicions. I have a feeling that I will spend part of the afternoon with a bottle of peroxide and bandages.

Then I'm going to the Lake, just to sit and think.

4. I'd guess they are gonna put the "sin"
in Wisconsin :) Get out and stop them Rev. Ruth!

Serious, I remember back home when it got like that after a long winter, we'd load up on the point Bock, get the grill out, and hang out on the porch skipping school.

I hope y'all have a better spring than last year

PS, I'm about to become a dual stater= looking to buy land up in Oneida Cty for our retirement Near Willow Flowage

17. I recommend popsicles.
Much tastier. Try the banana or rootbeer flavor - or, the sugar-free juice ones are good, too.

Feel better, Jonathan!

21. It's probably not going to get too bad....
I was able to get to Campus Health Services yesterday and they got me on antibiotics immediatley. I caught it very early, so things won't completley suck for me. I have Ricola lozenges, a brand new box of Tazo Chai, and some sweet' n Low for the tea. I'm set for a relaxing weekend.

11. I'm headed your way Rev!!
Although a bit to the south. We have the in-laws in town to babysit, so I'm treating my wife to a surprise romantic weekend at a Manitowoc B&B.:applause: :loveya: :bounce:  O8) I will try to get a little fishing in while we're out there, but chasing brown trout might deduct a few of the points I'm hoping to score. :eyes:

14. Just a word to the wise:
Any fishing done on said weekend should happen VERY EARLY in the morning...that is, the NEXT morning. ;) Make sure she knows where you are going, and that you are giving her a chance to sleep in and enjoy the quiet by herself.

And above all else, be sure to shower before you try to be "romantic." :freak:

19. Thats good advice, but I'd recommend
for the Brownies: pitching large, jointed Rapala's, black and white or brown and white. Cast as far as you can and use a slow retrieve. Shallow water.

For the wife: see above

Hmm...I wonder if I should try flying a kite down at the lake. It could be fun, but might PO the gulls (and they "dive-bomb!").

But plan to enjoy the weekend.

My best friend is coming into town on Sunday for the day, and he's never met my kids, so it will be a fun day of playing.

27. Well,
worked Friday, will work maybe a half day today, and then if it isn't raining yet, I'm going to play in my gardens.

I got my extensions filed on Thursday, so no sweat there... but if it is raining when I come home from work, that might be a good time to start my taxes. On the other hand, since I'm going to work to get accounting done in preparation for an audit, I'm not sure I'll be exactly in the MOOD for doing taxes.

My office has windows and my boss has been bringing nice spring flowers from his garden, so at least we know it's spring out there.

And my nose is peeling from last weekend's sunburn... :hi:

34. Hey, Ally,
how was the Horse Fair? I ended up working 9 hours yesterday, I have a ton of stuff to catch up on here, and the kids are coming out for dinner, so Young Miss Dissenter and I won't be going to the Fair this year. :( My boss was there for a little while on Friday night, and really enjoyed the Clydesdales and Friesians that he saw.

... yes, brings back memories of a... well, perhaps a less-than-stellar eventing performance...

35. Don't remind me...
that was not one of our finer moments. Oh well. It was nice to sit in the bleachers and just watch everyone else and know how hard that is to do!

I was stunned by the sidesaddle riders. I've never seen western side saddle. Bought one pair of those equisential breeches (on the seconds rack), another magazine subscription, and some leather cleaner. It's easy to not spend money when you don't buy things made in China. :)

There were a gazillion people on Friday. I can't even imagine what Saturday must have been like.
