Green Bay Dem hopes to take Rep. Green's seat in the 8th CD
Wall seeks $1M for congressional race

Press-Gazette Washington bureau

A Green Bay Democrat who plans to run for Congress in 2006 is visiting the nation’s capital this week to try to line up support from campaign strategists, congressional Democrats and labor unions.

Jamie Wall, a 33-year-old business consultant who advises companies on growth strategies, said Wednesday he’s hoping to raise $1 million in his bid to win Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District seat.

“I need to demonstrate credibility,” he said.

Wall, an only child who grew up in Askeaton and attended Oxford University in England as a Rhodes Scholar, said he has 50 cousins, other relatives and friends in the congressional district he will rely on for his initial campaign contributions.

Anyone know anything about Mr. Wall?

I imagine he won't be the only Dem to step forward for this seat but he appears to be the first.

2. It looks like he knows what it takes to win $$$$
I'm afraid that Dottie was underfunded. An unknown will need lots of money to get some name recognition.

3. Wish we had somebody that everybody knew...
That's what was brilliant about Jay Johnson. People voted for him because they knew who he was.
