An Open Letter to David Emerson
Approximately three hundred volunteers gave their time generously to the Liberal campaign. They gave up time with family, children and friends, took time off work, and took time away from small businesses because they believed in the ideals of the Liberal Party and wanted you to represent Vancouver Kingsway as our Liberal MP. Your actions have made their gifts of time meaningless.
Countless people donated money to support the election of a Liberal candidate in our riding. Some gave what little amounts they could afford to support the election of a Liberal MP. That money was spent to elect you as a Liberal, not as a Conservative.

You have often spoken of honour and integrity in politics. Here are two ways that you can put these ideals into action:

1. Good letter and good for them!
It seems Mr. Emerson is somewhat taken aback by the backlash, lol. I guess he figured he could just slide over to the faux Cons without his riding or his constituents saying a peep.

Simply unappreciative. No understanding of what "I" have done!

Vancouver Liberals want Emerson to repay $97,000

The new international trade minister, who reacted angrily to the request in a newspaper interview Tuesday night, maintains he ran his constituency office on a non-partisan basis and that he moved to the Tories to serve his constituents better.

In an interview with the Vancouver Province, Emerson said his two children, age 12 and 14, were being treated with hostility at school because of his defection.

He said he had raised tens of thousands of dollars for the Liberals while he was an MP, and that he felt like a "cash cow" for the party. Liberal attacks on his defection are a sign of "deep sickness," he told the paper.

Harper defended the appointment of the former Liberal industry minister, saying that he had long admired his work and that Emerson is committed to public service.

Harper seems to think that he is his kind of guy.

This has the potential to become a turning point in the voice of the people ruling. If the riding and electors want to make an issue of this it could overflow into parliament and become the mud that sticks to Harper.

3. Can you believe the arrogance?
Non partisan my ass. If he wanted us to believe he ran as un-partisan, he should have run as an independent. Of course that would have cut him off from the Liberal party supporters' money too, but that had nothign to do with it.

God damn piece of filth.
