The Olympic hand-off - fuck, I'm embarrassed
Dog sleds? Ice Fishing? Igloos?

Why the fuck is it that every time Canada is on the international stage we break out the fucking stereotypes? It's god damn shameful.
The Olympics are being held in one of the most youthful, exciting, unique cities in the world, and we're breaking out log cabins and toques.

Who the hell was paid to come up with that bit? It was god damned sad.

1. Yeah its pretty corny...
...aparently we can't live our lives, and let our culture evolve. We have to play up to stereotypes every chance we can.

5. After watching the closing show, I'm quite impressed with it!
I had't seen the closing show before...it's the middle of the night and I can't sleep so am watching a replay. I don't see any problem with the depiction presented by the Vancouver people. After all it is the winter games they are promoting. Not the city of Vancouver.Actually, I thought it was rather imaginative and well done. Sorry, but I can't join the naysayers in this one.
P.S. Don't worry.....They'll discover the delights of Vancouver once they get there.

6. Say what?
Which stereotypes would you like the Media to follow then?

Would you prefer the stage festooned in red, white and blue, with rap singers, a gun-twirling Marines honor guard and a blue-eyed blonde babe singing the theme from Spiderman?

Media is a cliche, just like the Olympics--you expect high art? Call Bjork!
