5. Why?

I don't understand why it is that to be a credible leftist, you have to always think that your side will always prevail, and that your political opponents will always encounter adversity.

It is entirely possible to believe that a) the conservatives are bad for Canada, and b) that circumstances are such that they are nonetheless likely to be re-elected.

6. If I understand you correctly

I don't always think 'my side' (whatever that means) will always prevail. Heck, my personal vote has NEVER counted, since the day I became of age. I voted NDP the dozen or so years I lived in TO, and Liberal in the years I've been outside the GTA - never having been on the winning side for my riding.


I do think that it's possible to believe both a & b scenarios....but without knowing who the Liberal candidate will be, it's a bit of an odd question as yet......Just don't discount the likelihood of lurking Harper lovers having fun with your poll.


For what it's worth, I can appreciate varying degrees of left, which is why I'm here. Some of your posts have given me something to think about, and I like that.
