Anonymous person distributes Facebook photos of Duncan's partying son

Conservative candidate John Duncan says he'll continue his bid for Parliament despite photos of his son appearing to be smoking pot that were found on the social networking website Facebook and distributed among his political opponents and the media.

Duncan confirmed yesterday that several photos sent to the Echo of a young man smoking what appears to be marijuana are of his 20-year-old son Ian, a carpentry student and construction worker who lives at home with his parents.

"That is my son, yes," a stunned Duncan said from his home in Campbell River.

"I know that he's caught up in some youthful exuberance but there's no drug dealing or anything like that. This is ridiculous."

What happens if that kid's employers catch sight of those pictures?

That's the sort of question you really need to be asking yourself when posting stuff on Facebook.
