I'm adding in my parents. I told them about the protests, as we didn't get ANY coverage on the news about it. Surprise! Not.
Thank you Canada! We love you! :loveya:

I haven't actually paced the area but know the area well) and I'm a spatial kinda gal ...

Conservative estimate
500 feet x 700 feet /9 square feet/person ~ 40,000

Upper Bound

700 feet x 1000 feet /9 square feet/person ~ 80,000

19. Thanks tex
no we are not "supreme" (except in hockey eh?).. just equal, nothing more, nothing less ... and we would very much like to keep it that way.

I wish you could have been there ... to feel the genuine love & concern for America. The Canadian people DO make the distinction between the patriots and *.

20. Thanks for that. It's so nice to know that we aren't all seen
as being like him. I am from Texas (he's no cowboy, that's an insult to cowboys) and I (thank goodness) am nothing like him. I took a poll, an election poll during the campaign, to see which candidate was closest to my beliefs, values, etc. I took it just for fun mind you because I had already made up my mind who I would vote for. Apparently, there was like 7% or less that B* and I even remotely agreed with. He's not my president and he never will be. I wonder if we will protest here. I have been following some of them since the "election" and it's like, Chile, Turkey, Greece, and Canada...oh and the failed plot in Columbia, is that a protest? Currently, I am really inspired by the people in the Ukraine...and kind of jealous. I heard US citizens are flocking to Canada right now (3 times the normal rate). Have you seen an influx? Well, guess I have talked your ear off now so I better go. Thanks again Iceburg.

22. Agreed -- the people of the Ukraine are truly inspiring
...And the fruadulent activities there pale in comparison to the 2000 & 2004 incidents in the US.

Its to early to tell if there will be an influx since it takes months for the papers to be processed. There is however a dramactic increase in the inquiries ... 6 to 10 times the ususal number.

21. and thanks to the Americans who phoned, wrote, or came in person

(well, except for Bush, of course!)

The Halifax paper printed some nice supportive comments from a New Hampshire visitor who was in town and decided to join the protest (I posted the article link in the Bush mock trial thread).

And it's been very gratifying to see American letters in our newspapers, backing up our concerns about Bush's policies.

In the next few years - you Canadians rock - and are very nice too. These pictures are inspiring and really made my day. Why aren't we having this kind of action in the US?
