1. Here is a great site where you can check what's happening in Montreal...
while you are there and it has many categories from which to choose:

Montreal is a beautiful city and I have NO doubt you and your family will enjoy your time there!

3. La Ronde!

My secret: I met someone from DU, from way down south of the border, in Montreal last summer for a wild weekend of roller coasters. Well, and some bars.

If you are interested, there are some things it's good to buy on line. And the gold pass is the best way to go, inside the park. Caveat: this is not cheap, of course. Two adults was one thing; four adults and some teenagers would be a bit of an outlay.

I agree that the best thing is just to surf around the net. All kinds of Montreal tourist websites.

Old Montreal - the old port. Take the metro / subway everywhere. Go to the top of Mont Royal. Take a cruise around the island. Walk up and down Ste Catherine.

Probably you have accommodations already. In case not, I really recommend the Doubletree -- terrific location, big rooms, great views, good AAA rates. Well, it's this now:

Oh yes, as daleo said: eat, eat and eat. ;)

6. Go see the Biodome!

Also on the premises is the world's tallest leaning tower, from the top of which you can see a panoramic view of the city.
