That's nice. The main reason I support the NDP is they are a moderate Socialist party. So much so that they are recognised by Socialist International.

I understand the strategic importance of aligning with the "Liberal" Party, but this kind of remark by someone in a position of influence within the party makes me kind of sick.

I don't want to support the New Democrats because they are the lesser of three evils; I want to support them on the basis of the issues that have always been at the core of the party.

This sort of compromising, sleeping with the enemy tactic is just one more step toward a homogenious, two-party system.

And I don't like that.
