Imitations Of The Us
REINSTATE DON HILL

Many Albertans are angered by the removal of Don Hill from his position as host of Wild Rose Forum on CBC Radio One, which aired from 1 to 2 pm during the week across Alberta. Mr. Hill's program was a unique and important public forum in the province. The Friends of Don Hill believe that what has happened to Mr. Hill is now an issue and a matter of public concern.

Mr. Hill is a veteran investigative journalist. He researched his topics thoroughly and engaged interesting and knowledgeable guests who discussed and explored diverse public interest issues. He encouraged people from throughout Alberta to raise questions, to challenge the status quo and engage in open dialogue. Not everyone would agree with some of the views expressed on Wild Rose Forum, but everyone was given the opportunity to have their say.

The CBC claims that Don Hill's termination was "solely a business decision." Why would the CBC have laid off the most popular host of a CBC radio program in Alberta?

Don Hill's removal is an affront to free speech, responsible citizenship and democratic public radio. The Friends of Don Hill want him reinstated to Wild Rose Forum because he has been the energy and creative force behind that program.

Seems that we have to make way for Fox.
