Bono Urges Canada to Increase Foreign Aid

OTTAWA - Irish rocker Bono says Canadian
Prime Minister Paul Martin's inability to further increase foreign aid mystifies him, especially when he's facing an election in a country that clearly favors more foreign aid.

2. I kind of doubt that voters frustrated with Martin's

unwillingness to loosen the purse-strings for foreign aid are going to jump ship to the Reform Party.

Furthermore, if Martin really wished to easily dodge this sort of criticism, he could made his word good and boosted aid levels.

Polls were showing Canadians sided WITH Martin on the topic just a few short months ago......I can't imagine why that would suddenly change.

(and not just taken Bush to task over African aids help, but taken him to task for not supporting the distribution of condoms, because of his ridiculous fantasy...i mean, religious beliefs that could be saving lives every single moment)
