I think so. Rooney on the left wing? Then Gerrard? Come off it!

I predict England will end up having to go into the playoffs to get the last 3 European places. This gives everyone more football, and more chances to moan how useless we are. We'll then qualify for the finals, where we will perform miserably, losing to an African side, and obtaining a couple of lacklustre draws. Then Sven will be sacked.

It would really be kinder if the side was quietly eliminated in the playoffs so that we could be spared the inevitable humiliation before a huge international audience. Rarely in life can people get paid so much to deliver so little.

2. You may have a point about sacking him but... |
|
...who would you put in his place?

He is far from the tactical genius he was supposed to be.
When things don't go perfectly as planned in a game he is utterly lost he can't motivate the players nor can he come up with tactics to change the game.
We had proof of that in the games against Brazil, Portugal, Denmark and again last night.
Unfortunately whilst he's not a great football tactician, his tactics in securing his job have been brilliant. Go for dinner a few times with Abramovich & suddenly the FA are willing to offer him anything to ensure he doesn't quit. Except it also means that we can't sack him without it costing the FA several million pounds.
