I wonder if the "insane" element of society will ever become extinct.

25. Well, technically it IS very Christian of them.
Let's face it, their god is going to make him burn in hell, So maybe they're just doing him a service by informing him of his impending doom!

Or maybe they're just zealous assholes.

4. About the insane element in society - even they claim that they
Have never evolved; and despite scientific evidence to the contrary, I have to agree!

15. Creationists are abundant proof...
...that not all the monkeys made the jump.

Or, alternatively, that they fell out of the trees headfirst.

5. Why is it these "christians" always want to give "god" credit for good things,
while never assigning him any blame for the bad?...........................................................

10. Well, DUH...
The Clenis is the direct descendant of the 6500-year-old talking snake from Genesis. Every godly person knows that! :hide:

8. The really fun thing
is listening to them try to explain why that is. They tie themselves in knots.

Someone was telling me that "god was really with the passengers on the USAir flight in NYC."

I asked them if God was in charge of all those little details. They said definitely. Then, I asked why god threw the geese into the engine to begin with. After all, if god is involved in all the little details of our lives, it seems kind of cruel to cause the plane to crash and then get the credit for saving people after you did.

I told them it was the same as if I set your house on fire and then rescued you. People wouldn't exactly be thanking me when it was over.

They were still babbling when I walked away.

12. "If the history of science shows us anything....
...it is that we get nowhere by labeling our ignorance 'God.'" -Jerry Coyne, geneticist, University of Chicago

But some people are too ignorant/stupid to understand that.....

13. LOL Very good analogy. I used the "why did God throw the geese into the engine and kill geese?"
line myself on a person who is an extremely devout Christian.

They kind of shut down trying to think of a way out of that logic. I think the proverbial hamster fell off the wheel.

14. I know what my father-in-law would say (or send in the form of a super cheesy
email with heinous graphics). He's say that God wanted to remind us of what we take for granted. He made the accident happen AND made the pilot guide the plane safely into the Hudson so that we could reminded of the fact that we never know when our time is up and we better pray night and day just in case.

They have a cheesy answer for everything.

21. God must be awfully busy, if he has to take care of all those details.
Hasn't he delegated any of this away?

24. I think that he
delegated a certain amount of "smiting" to George Bush, at least that's what Bush claims.

20. I love David Attenborough.
My favorite way to spend a day, other than actually getting outside into Nature myself, is to curl up on a sofa with an Attenborough DVD on the tube. May he live long and prosper.

I hope Heaven has a video production studio, so Attenborough can continue making nature documentaries forever.

.... He's educated generations of kids, and their parents.

And what a wonderful lifetime of work he'll leave for future generations.

I tip my hat to you, sir!
